Gary ‘Gaz’ Marsh

Say hi to our Café 67 Manager, Chef & Barista Gaz Marsh.  Gaz has been in catering for around 20 years, learning the key skills at catering college before getting hands-on experience at various hotels and restaurants in London and the South East.  

With extensive experience as a head chef and food trainer, Gaz is now the friendly face you will see when you visit our popular Café 67 for a spot to eat, a speciality coffee, a beer, wine or a cocktail!  Let’s find out a little more about Gaz…

What do you love about your job?  I love seeing different people every day.

Who inspires you to be the best at what you do?  I find Simon Rogan very inspiring.  He is a Michelin chef in Cornwall.

What’s the most complicated coffee order you’ve been given?  A ½ shot weak cappuccino.

What’s your ultimate ambition?  To win the lottery and be a millionaire!

How would you describe yourself in three words?  Fun, enthusiastic, hard-working.

Tell us something surprising about yourself.  I cooked for the film director of Tomb Raider.

Bonnie Mullins

This is our Beauty Manager Bonnie Mullins who has more than seven years’ experience within the beauty industry, working in various beauty salons and high-end skin care clinics.  She loves helping our guests to relax, unwind and take time off from their hectic schedules. 

Which beauty treatment do you absolutely love doing? I have a real interest in skin care and love to see results from these treatments.  It’s great to be able to recommend the correct skin care regime for each guest. I particularly love facials.

What do you love about working at the salon? I love the atmosphere and design and the buzz in the salon, but, equally, I like the tranquility of the beauty rooms… I get the best of both!

Which celebrity would you like to see walk though the salon doors?  I’d love to give an ELEMIS facial ti one of Little Mix, knowing they have hectic schedules and wear lots of make-up.

What is your ultimate ambition?  To manage a successful busy team of talented beauty therapists. I’d also love us to enter some beauty awards.

How would you describe yourself?  Caring, professional, good team player.

Tell us something surprising about yourself… I have two house rabbits with their own room!

Lauren Roads

Art Director Lauren Roads’ career started at the salon as a Saturday girl and, after showing a natural flair for colour techniques, Lauren pursued her ambition to become a multi-talented colourist. Today, Lauren is leading the way with her creative colour skills, having studied to achieve the industry-renowned title Master Colour Expert and being selected to become a Wella Trend Vision judge.  This puts her among the best in the UK when it comes to creating beautiful hair colours including balayage, fashion shades and colour correction.

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love creating?  Balayage and colour correction are my favourites. I also love doing full bleaching.  I find it very rewarding transforming my clients’ hair.

What do you love about hairdressing?  I love making my clients happy, and working with fun, young people.

Who’s hair would you like to get your hands on?  Khloe Kardashian because she has great hair and a high profile.

Who or what inspires you to create great hair?  I’m really inspired by the latest colour techniques and trends. I love balayage, rainbow colours and doing a full head bleach. I always like to recommend a change for my guests’ hair each time they return.

What is your ultimate ambition?  I want to continue learning new things.

How would you describe yourself in three words?  Loud, ambitious and confident.

Tell us something surprising about yourself… I wanted to work in the equestrian industry before becoming a hairdresser.

Tanya Hare

Starting out as a weekend girl at just 15 years old, London born and bred Tanya Hare soon fell in love with the hairdressing industry. Her career quickly progressed, seeing her join the Art Team in her early 20s and working on exciting projects such as London Fashion Week with designers Vin & Omi, the L’Oréal Colour Trophy Awards and various photoshoots. With 25 years of industry experience under her belt, Tanya has trained with professional colour brands L’Oréal , Wella, Redken and Matrix.

Tanya also has a flair for wedding hair, colour correction and restyles. She says: “I love finding out what suits an individual. Finding the right style for someone is paramount, everyone is unique.”

Tanya takes her inspiration by looking in and around London, the diversity of people and the spectrum of Pantone colours they wear. Married with two daughters, Tanya values spending time with her family and her two beloved Basset Hounds.

Which hairstyles or colours do you love creating?  I love doing edgy/bold styles and colours.

What do you love about being a hairdressers?  Making my clients feel fantastic about themselves.

Whose hair would you like to get your hands on?  J-Lo – she has fabulous hair!

Who or what inspires you to create great hair?  Fashion inspires me – I enjoy it when the new pantone hair colours are released. I also enjoy people watching for inspiration.

What is your ultimate ambition?  To do what I love doing at work but having a balance with family life too.

How would you describe yourself in three words?  Little pocket rocket!

Gian-Luca Sessa

Not many stylists can say they’ve styled Sophia Loren’s hair – so let us introduce you to our Salon Director Gian-Luca Sessa. 

Armed with a degree from art school and fluent in four languages, Luca first entered the hairdressing industry 25 years ago, starting out in his home country of Italy. His impressive career has seen him work in Italian television, owning a salon and going personal styling for Sophia Loren.  Luca then made his way to London to continue his career and now works at Gatsby & Miller as the Artistic Director.  

Luca has a passion for art, fashion and style and enjoys making women look good. An expert in colouring and cutting, he especially likes working on a restyle, where he can give his guest a different, customised look that ties in with their personality and lifestyle.

With a love of art and culture, Luca takes inspiration from his frequent travels around Europe and America as well as from classic Renaissance art.  When Luca’s not being creative in the salon, he’s being creative at home, where he likes to draw and paint using watercolours and oil.

Which hairstyles do you love to create?  I love creating beautiful, natural hair colours and sophisticated looks. I am also renowned for doing the best blow dry in town!  

What do you love about being a hairdresser? It’s so social.  I love being with people and making them feel good.

Which celebrity hair would you like to get your hands on?  The Queen – I’d like to speak with her, just like we do with all our clients.

What inspires you to create great hair?  I get lots of ideas from my travels and people watching.

What is your ultimate ambition?  I am always open to learning more from our industry.

How would you describe yourself in three words?  Good listener, caring, vibrant.
