dawn 2018Dawn started out working in media and special effects makeup, before moving into hairdressing 22 years ago. Now, as G&M’s Salon Director, her advanced hairdressing skills and keen business mind sees her delivering specialist colour techniques to an impressive list of loyal guests, plus training and nurturing her team as NVQ Assessor and manager.
I fall in love with my job more each year. My strength is helping and supporting the team through training to build the business.’ Providing her guests with a high standard of service is also important ‘I like to take care of my guests too, from the moment they arrive in the salon to when they leave. I take on board what my guests want and advise them how to achieve their look.

Dawn and her team have worked hard to establish a central ethos to G&M, which is something she feels particularly proud to be a part of ’I love the ethos at G&M. It’s a highly supportive environment where we take care of staff, have team building and weekly management days, and are very in-tune with industry standards of young stylists. Providing the team with training gives them confidence and inspiration.

For her own creative inspiration, Dawn often attends open chair nights to gain insight into new techniques and watch new industry talent at work. Down-time is an important part of Dawn’s week, and away from the salon she likes to spend time with her two girls and family and take long country walks with her dogs.
