With the wealth of creativity and advanced hairdressing skills, Dawn has over 19 years experience and tremendous talent both as a stylist and specialist in the latest colour techniques.

There is nothing she enjoys more than working with guests all the way through from consultation to achieving the look they desire.

Dawns passion for the industry and keen business mind continue to grow the team and the brand at Gatsby & Miller.

So… lets not hesitate in getting to know more about her…

What’s brought you back to G&M?
I am really excited to have the opportunity to return to the salon and continue with the growth of Gatsby and Miller with the G&M team alongside me. I have such passion for the industry and working with like minded people I believe we can achieve anything we set out to do.

Tell us a little bit about yourself…
I have been working on the industry for 20 years and love it as much now as I did when I started. I have been very fortunate to have worked with amazing people and have learnt so much on my journey so far, I have been able to travel abroad with my job which has been so great to have the diversity within my role.

I love to teach! I am a NVQ assessor which enables me to support our new talent in the salon to achieve their qualifications in hairdressing.

I have 2 beautiful daughters who make be very proud in what they have achieved and the people they have become. I love to spend time with family and friends. Love walking my dog and eating out.

What is the best part of your job?
Working alongside creative people, no 2 days are the same! Spending time with my guests and contributing to them feeling and looking fabulous.

What can a guest expect from their experience with you?
I like to take care of my guests from the moment they arrive in the salon to when they leave, with a thorough consultation journey and working with the G&M team ensuring the guests are comfortable throughout their service. Having the skills to listen and take on board what the guests wants and needs and advising them what would work to achieve their look. Advising guests how best to use tools and products to maintain their look at home.

As salon director and manager of the team, what are you most looking forward too?
Supporting the team and salon to its full potential, exciting times ahead!

What inspires you on a creative level?
Watching new talent in our industry. I love to go to open chair nights to have an insight to new techniques.. and what amazing talent is out there!

Why is a consultation important?
Consultation is paramount to understanding your guests needs. Asking open questions to gather the relevant information to achieve the desired result. Having the knowledge to be able to give your guest what they want and achieve amazing hair. Providing the correct products and techniques for the guest to maintain their hair at home.

Which hair product could you not live without in your tool bag?
Texture spray for much needed volume.

What are days your in the salon?
I will be working 5 days, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
